ABOUT US
“What are you thinking? I’ve asked myself this question countless times before I finally decided to move forward with this. It started with a simple idea. We all have ideas; some good, and some, not so good. But why was this one sticking so bad? The idea: A social media space to help connect the people of our city by sharing small stories about a common theme – Whittier. At first, I thought it may have had to do with sometimes thinking that as “connected” as we feel we are on social media, there is also a “disconnect” with what unites us - Community. But what I’ve come to realize is that, it was more of a feeling that I owed something to this City. After all, this City and its people have helped shape who I am today. I’ve made many childhood memories here. I’ve met new friends and laughed with old one’s here. I met my wife Jennie here, bought my first home, and I’m raising my family here. I owe it to this City! And if there was something that I could do to bring pride in her name, then I would feel a need to do it. So here it goes….”
We are Pedro and Jennie. And along with you and your stories, WE ARE WHITTIER.
